Jeff, for almost 20 years worked in the field of Continuous Improvement in logistics and manufacturing. Jeff’s expertise was working both independently and through teams, identifying and implementing projects that yielded results in safety and manufacturing processes. He developed and communicated those processes at all levels from boardroom to entry level associate. Jeff spent some time as an entrepreneur with a couple small businesses, in addition to teaching himself Autocad and drafting for a structural Engineering Firm starting in 2005 where he discovered an early interest and talent for structural construction. With that interest, along with strong communication skills and attention to detail, it was suggested that he consider becoming a Concrete Special Inspector. Jeff enrolled at Larson School of Technical Inspection, initially just to get his certificate in Reinforced Concrete, but he discovered his interest in Special Inspection and ended up enrolling in classes, and achieving certificates for all seven of ICC’s primary Special Inspection Certificates. He also attended ACIs Field Grade-1 Technician Training and passed a course through the Post Tensioning Institute (PTI) to be a Level 2 Inspector of Unbonded Post Tensioned Concrete. One of his goals for 2020 is to participate in the inspection of Post Tensioned decks to achieve the requisite 500 hours of inspection to complete this certification.
